       The City of Union is a small rural village of approximately 450 residents  located  in the south east corner of Hardin County on the bluffs of the beautiful Iowa River.   Union is in the southern part of the Iowa River Greenbelt.   This is one of the richest agricultural areas in the world.  
 
Tar Heel Days Celebration is Friday July 31 to August 2.  Tar Heel Parade is Saturday August 1, 2009
 If you wish to announce your organization's Public Meeting, contact Lezlie Reel.  She will announce it on KFJB radio every Monday morning at 8:10 am
